For the last 18 years, El Paso has been home. Ron was asked to become the General Manager for the family owned Farmers Dairies in 1997.  Farmers Dairies was sold to Select Milk Producers in 2006 and he was asked to remain as the General Manager, and since has been named General Manager and President for Farmers Select.

Ron began his career in the dairy industry with the Dairy Division of the Southland Corporation. During the next eight years the following titles were held; Management Trainee, Economist, Sales Rep, Branch Manager, Intercompany Sales Manager, and Sales Manager for Northern California. While students at Tarleton State University, Ron and Valerie were married in 1969 (About 46 years!) and have two daughters and seven grandchildren.

Ron transferred to Texas Tech University and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics.

Ron has served on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, and Council of Arts. In addition, he was President of the Military Affairs Committee; he has received 2 Distinguished Service Awards from the Rotary Club, and was named the Chamber of Commerce Member of the Year.
