The Dairy Products Institute of Texas Association has established up to 4 - $2000 scholarships to be awarded to member employees and/or their dependents working with the Dairy Products Industry. 

To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must be enrolled in an accredited college (Preference to Texas Colleges) and seeking an undergraduate degree in Dairy/Food Science or related field, have a 2.5 grade point average, and fall into one of the these groups:

* DPI of Texas Active, Associate, or Affiliate member and their dependents working with or servicing the Dairy Products Industry

* Employees of a DPI of Texas member and their dependents working with or servicing the Dairy Products Industry

Application Dates

Applications will be accepted beginning December 1st of each year. All applications and related information must be received by April 1st. Students may be awarded scholarships in multiple years. 

1.  Download, print and complete the application form from DPI website.

2.  Acquire official transcript from all high schools (if freshman applicant), college attended.

3.  Request a letter of recommendation – academic, extracurricular, or character based.

Selection Process

The recommendations of the DPI scholarship committee are submitted to the DPI Board of Directors for final evaluation and selection at the DPI Spring Convention in April. 

Announcement of winners will be made to the students and at the DPI Convention or before June 1.  All applicants will be notified following selection process by June 1.  

Scholarship recipients will be selected on the basis of academic performance, applicant’s commitment to a career in the Dairy and Food Processing Industries, involvement in extra-curricular activities, evidence of leadership abilities and good character traits.
