Our Goal
Our association was established to bring together the various sectors involved in the Texas dairy industry, working together under a unified front. This is embodied in our mission statement.
Mission Statement:
FROM THE DAIRY PRODUCTS INSTITUTE OF TEXAS ORIGINAL 1944 STATE OF TEXAS CHARTER:
The purpose for which this association is formed is to unite processing, manufacturing, and vendor* firms into an organization that will function as a Board of Trade to promote and advance the welfare of the dairy industry generally and especially the dairy industry of Texas; to encourage the public to use dairy products; to gather and disseminate accurate and reliable information and data concerning processes and methods; to promote and encourage a broader understanding and a friendlier relationship among those engaged in the various branches of the dairy industry; and to encourage and help those engaged in the dairy products industry to attain and maintain an ever-higher standard of quality and service.
*Replaced marketing firms with vendor firms at the 2013 Fall Outing
The TEXAS LONGHORNS are the vendor firms affiliated with the Dairy Products Institute of Texas. Our mission is to support the DPI of TX organization through our active involvement and financial support. Funds raised through the TEXAS LONGHORNS Convention reception fees will support convention activities, with excess funds to be used at the discretion of the TEXAS LONGHORNS in coordination with the DPI of Texas.
